01Is FairTaxi available in my city?
FairTaxi works right across Ireland, so you can download it anywhere and book a ride. Our main focus for now is Dublin, so that's where you'll find the most drivers, and we're expanding across the country city by city.
02How do drivers get paid?
Riders pay the driver directly: card in-app, cash in the car, or the driver's own card terminal. The fare clears to the driver's Stripe account. FairTaxi never touches ride money.
03What is the €50/mo subscription?
One flat platform fee. No per-ride commission, no technology fee, no hidden platform charges. €50 a month and that's the bill.
04Is the fare fixed?
The fare shown is an estimate based on the NTA's standard metered pricing. The final fare is what the driver's taxi meter reads when you arrive, the same as a hailed taxi.
05Are drivers checked?
Before their first ride, every driver is verified against the live NTA register: a valid PSV licence, current NCT and current insurance, all confirmed. No verification, no rides.
06Who handles customer support?
An instant in-app assistant answers the common questions right away, backed by a real support team based here in Dublin, not an overseas call centre. Both drivers and riders are looked after, in-app and in writing.
